Mariah Carey drops fourth track of upcoming album
There is no stopping Mariah Carey at the moment. The legendary pop star has announced that her new album Caution will be released on the 16th of November and she already dropped the fourth of ten new tracks. It all started with ‘GTFO’ at the end of the summer, followed up by the official lead single ‘With You’ and promo track ‘The Distance’. The new tune is titled ‘A No No’ and it is easily the most uptempo and catchy track of the lot. It contains a sample of ‘Crush On You’ by Lil’ Kim, Notorious B.I.G. and Lil’ Cease in which B.I.G. raps that the guy is ‘a slut, a hoe, a freak’. That is obviously a big ‘no no’ for Mimi. The way some of the sentences in the verses end with the word ‘No’ echoes ‘No Scrubs’ by TLC. This is a massive R&B throwback with an insanely catchy hook. This is the most playful we have heard Mariah in a while and she sounds great! ‘A No No’ is in fact ‘A Yes Yes’!
