Single Review: Miss Li – Bonfire

Miss Li Bonfire

Miss Li’s newest is a summery ear worm
Miss Li has been quite a productive pop star over the past 10 years. The Swedish singer-songwriter released her first record in 2006 and no less than six more followed until 2013, when her most recent work Wolves saw the light of day. She took a little break from releasing, but she is more than ready to start the promotion for upcoming album number eight! She just dropped her brand new single ‘Bonfire’ and this is definitely one of the most hit worthy tracks she has ever put her name to.

Miss Li, born as Linda Carlsson, boosted her popularity with the Swedish general public in 2012 by participating in TV show Så Mycket Bättre where established artists cover each other’s songs. She also composed on German Eurovision winner Lena’s successful Stardust album and wrote Melodifestivalen 2015 hit ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ with her longterm collaborator Sonny Gustafsson, performed by Mariette.

Li and Gustafsson also worked together on the brand new ‘Bonfire’. She explores some reggae inlfuences on this one and mixes it with her quirky but always catchy brand of pop. This all results in an extremely infectious summer tune with a breezy vibe that will no doubt work perfectly well on radio in Sweden and maybe even beyond their borders. This definitely has the potential to become one of her biggest hits and maybe even go international!
