Aurora from Bergen, Norway, is one of the most exciting new electronic pop artists out there at the moment. The singer-songwriter is only 18 years old and is expected to do great things as her single ‘Runaway’ made waves on the internet. Even Katy Perry said she was a fan. The singer is planning to perform at quite a few festivals this summer and she released the single ‘Running With the Wolves’ just before. The video for this single came out today and that is why it is song of the day at A Bit of Pop Music today.

While ‘Runaway’ was a beautiful introduction to Aurora’s musical style, ‘Running With The Wolves’ has a lot more hit potential than the first mentioned. The pop track has a big build up to an explosive chorus that repeats the sentence ‘I’m running with the wolves tonight’ without feeling repetitive. It’s her captivating voice that drags you into the track and does not let go. I could hear this on BBC Radio 1 as well as on Dutch radio stations. This is definitely a track that could bring Aurora a step closer to pop stardom. The video is worth a mention as well. She explained the concept on Facebook, stating that it depicts her running from the hectic life of the city into nature, like all of us should do every once in a while. She cuts of the ‘roots’ that try to stop her and runs for her life. A beautiful visual that fits the track perfectly.
