It’s a wrap. Eurovision 2015 is done and Sweden took the victory with the song ‘Heroes’ by Måns Zelmerlöw. After a two horse race with Russia it was decided that the contest will take place in Sweden next year. I reviewed the performances and analysed the results!
Tonight is the big night. Europe will choose its next Eurovision Song Contest winner. Over the past week, 20 finalists have been selected in the semi finals, and seven songs (the big 5, last year’s winner and guest of honor Australia) already had a spot on the saturday night to begin with. But who will win? I take a look at the iTunes charts, the bookmakers and the draw to predict the outcome.
In the coming days and weeks, I will present to you some interviews I did with the participants of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. First up is Elhaida Dani from Albania. The singer who is famous for winning the Voice of Italy, but is originally from Albania, won the national final in her country with a song in her mother tongue, but later was decided she would go to Vienna with the powerful midtempo song ‘I’m Alive’. Elhaida tells me all about the song change, what ‘I’m Alive’ is about and why she wants to empower strong women.
