Astrid S launches bop co-written by Charli XCX
Astrid S is slowly but surely working towards the release of her debut album. The Norwegian pop starlet returned last year with the nothing short of brilliant pop song ‘Emotion’. The stripped back track ‘Closer’ followed. While on tour as supporting act for Years and Years she premiered the new song ‘Someone New’ which is now officially out. And it’s a bop! The track was written by pop masterminds Charli XCX and Noonie Bao, but fits Astrid like a glove. ‘Someone New’ has an irresistible rhythm, driven by deep base tones and swinging synths. The lyrics are about struggling to get over a past relationship and stalking your ex while they have a new partner. We like a relatable bop that goes OFF!
