Mathew V continues string of singles with piano ballad
Canadian upcoming pop star Mathew V made a brand new start earlier this year and has been consistently releasing strong singles ever since. He launched his first official single ‘No Bad News’, a soulful pop number with soaring vocals and followed it up with the emotive, but at the same time upbeat ‘If I’m Enough’, rich with choirs and vocal layers. This time around Mathew goes for a more stripped back sound, singing over just a piano on the ballad ‘The Day I Die’.

It should be no surprise at all that Mathew V’s clasically trained voice excels on a dramatic and moody ballad. He shows off the full range and especially his higher register, subtly used in the stunning middle eight of the track, comes to life. He lays his soul bare through the lyrics and we believe every word without a doubt. We cannot wait for the moment this string of quality singles ends up on his debut album!
