Anna of the North announces debut album and drops title track
Finally! Anna of the North is releasing an album! The Norwegian pop act who was tipped by A Bit of Pop Music as most promising artist for 2016 will drop their debut record in September. Interestingly enough, most of their singles so far like the quite brilliant ‘The Dreamer‘, ‘Us‘ and ‘Oslo‘ did not make tracklist of the album. The only track we know so far is ‘Baby‘. To celebrate the news of the upcoming album release, Anna of the North drops their brand new single and title track of the album, ‘Lovers’.

If Anna’s album will be filled with song just as strong as ‘Lovers’, I will forgive her for leaving out all those amazing previously released singles. This track is exactly what I want from Anna of the North; laidback, dreamy synth pop with plenty of incredibly catchy hooks. Both the synth pop production and her voice soar beautifully and this breathes the 80s as much as it feels contemporary. I still believe it will be only a matter of time before Anna of the North will experience an even more rapid growth in their fan base and streaming numbers. ‘Lovers’ shows they deserve a bigger audience!
